Bookmarks & Tabs
Once you are signed into Chrome, you have many options for customizing your browser experience.
Bookmarks: To add a bookmark to your Bookmarks Bar Links to an external site., click the star to the right of the omnibox. From here, you can name the bookmark, delete the words to create a picture bookmark, or organize it in a folder. You can also drag and drop the URL onto your bookmarks bar to create a bookmark. To remove a bookmark, just right-click and delete.
Picture Bookmark: To add a picture bookmark, click on the star to the right of the omnibox. Then, erase the name of the bookmark. This frees up room on your bar for more bookmarks.
Bookmark Folder: These are useful in organizing links by topic, and helps you save space on your bookmarks bar. To create a folder, right-click on the bookmark bar and choose "Add folder...".
Colorful Waffle: The colorful waffle is located in the top, left corner. When you click on it, you will find some of the Google Apps. (This is a quick way to get to Drive and the Web Store.)
Tab Options:
📝If you right-click on a tab, you will see a variety of options. Some options that can be useful are:
Options
- Add tab to new group - lets you group tabs by content, color the tabs, expand and minimize the group
- Duplicate - opens a new tab with the exact URL of the tab you are on
- Pin - moves it all the way to the left and makes the tab smaller
- Mute site - mutes audio from that site
- Close other tabs - closes all tabs except the one you clicked on
- Close tabs to the right - closes all tabs to the right of the tab you right-clicked on
